National Council Secretary
Terry Yamane was born and raised on Long Island, NY as the second of five children in a Catholic family. She joined the Unification movement in December 1974, shortly before her mother, Patricia, and two sisters, Penny and Mary Lou, in 1975.
Terry’s mission work has included witnessing and fundraising along with accounting positions at the Unification Theological Seminary, the Summit Council, the Confederation of the Associations for the Unification of the Societies of the Americas and Master Marine, Inc., where she worked as a bookkeeper and then comptroller for a total of 21 years.
In Alabama, Terry has served as a vice regional director, state leader (also for Mississippi), as a pastor of the Family Church of Alabama, and as a local council member. She has also worked for Women’s Federation for World Peace and the American Clergy Leadership Conference. Terry is currently serving her second year on the National Council and works full time as an executive assistant at Saad Healthcare in Mobile, Alabama.
Terry received the Marriage Blessing with Keisuke (Kasey) Yamane in the 6,000 couples Marriage Blessing Ceremony in 1982. They have two sons, Patrick and James.
