NOVA Family Church Works Toward One Million Blessing Campaign
On September 16, Michiko Yokoyama and William Selig, Family Federation for World Peace and Unification Blessing Officiators in Northern Virginia, visited the Hindu Capital Temple in Chantilly, Virginia where they were received by long-time friends Head Priest Amar Nath Gupta, and Shashi and Ravi Chopra during a senior citizens’ club meet.
The meeting normally begins with a yoga practice followed by a presentation on one topic of interest, usually health related. However, this time Mrs. Yokoyama and Mr. Selig opened with a brief explanation of the One Million Blessing Campaign which is to identify and call families to God through Blessing one million Americans by 2020. They then explained the meaning of the Blessing and the Blessing Vows, asking the couples to remain faithful to one another and raise their children according to a God-centered way of life.
A total of 27 couples accepted and drank the Holy juice and later enjoyed a delicious Indian dinner followed by a tour of the Temple.
