America, It’s Time
After a successful Peace Starts with Me Unity Festival on June 22 at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, a Victory Celebration took place at the International Peace Education Center (IPEC) on Sunday, June 23, with the main hall overflowing with 1500 guests.
Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, Regional Chairman of Family Federation North America, expressed great thanks to the youth for their lively energy and dedication to support True Mother.
True Mother entered the room and spoke briefly about the address she gave at the Unity Festival, with the prominent message being, “Now is the time for America.” Read more here.
She offered a gift to Dr. Kim for guiding America to its continued success and victory, and one to the Generation Peace Academy (GPA) for their support, dedication and energy toward bringing about national restoration.
Crescentia DeGeode, Director of the Blessing and Family Ministry, then offered a very strong and moving prayer which was followed by a series of testimonies and reports. First, Rev. Demian Dunkley, President of Family Federation USA, told the story about how God instructed him to organize a rally. On another occasion, God told him to unite with Dr. Kim 100%. Demian continued with a few reflections he received from people who participated at the Unity Festival. One said, “Bishop Noel Jones opened my heart, and then True Mother stole it.”
Rev. John Jackson, Southwest Subregional Director, talked about his experience planning and preparing for the rally. Through outreach, he met many wonderful and unique people, 200 of which attended the rally. “I’ll never forget when you [True Mother] looked us in the eyes and said, ‘I believe in you. I trust in you,’” Rev. Jackson said.
Teresa Rischl, President of Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) USA, spoke about how True Mother is transforming the youth. CARP and GPA together brought 150 of their friends and peers to the Summer Solstice Concert that took place at IPEC on June 21.
The program ended in three cheers of Eog Mansei, with the Las Vegas Church band keeping up the high spirits with musical performances throughout lunch.
