It is nice to note that many countries observe Labor Day on May 1! As if God our True Parents wants our anniversary with the labor celebration. Literally is was True Parents Labor to give birth to a new lineage free from Satanic lineage! Celebrated the Anniversary in Thailand yesterday that observes Labor Day May the 1st, and so is my country of my birth the Philippines! Anyway my own mother labored starting May 1 and I was born in 1966 May 2 after Labor Day! I will never forget the Anniversary of our church founding!

On page 276 of the English edition of Chambumo Gyeong, we find these two points:

    • HSA-UWC was founded on May 1, 1954 at a small house in Bukhak-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
    • On October 7, 1955, right after True Father was released from Seodaemon Prison, it [our church headquarters] moved yet again, this time to 71-3, Cheongpa-dong 1-ga, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. This is the address that the church used on May 31, 1963, when it registered with the government as Civil Society Organization No. 261.

It’s an interesting, little known, fact that HSA was actually founded on May 3 according to the date of legal documents being signed etc. This information came from David S.C. Kim, who wrote about this in an edition of ‘The Way of the World’ in the ’70s and confirmed same information in a morning service while I was at UTS. His testimony was that Father decided to celebrate on May 1st as he wanted the founding date of HSA to be a bigger celebration than May Day in the communist nations and that’s pretty big!
