SR1 had an amazing retreat at Belvedere! Our Family Fed President and SR1 director, Demian Dunkley was able to share his experiences with True Mother with all of us. Each youth leader deeply felt True Mother’s heart and desire for 2019 and are determined to bring this same heart to their respective communities.
During the SR2 YAYAM retreat we had an opportunity to bridge the gap between generations and especially focus on the pastor and youth leader relationship. We made significant plans for this semester including working together as a sub region and bringing home all of our inspiration. We had a surprise ending with a humongous snowstorm that allowed many of our southern leaders experience snow for the first time. What a great way to end a fantastic weekend!
The Midwest SR3’s youth leaders gathered at the Chicago Family Church to connect and collaborate with each other and were also empowered for the sake of their ministries. Despite a snow storm, we had an excellent turnout from nine of our YAYAM communities. Some of the most valued highlights were by-ministry and by-community discussion sessions, an intimate evening activity where leaders empathized challenges and shared encouragement with each other, and simply the opportunity to bond together as midwestern leaders.
SR4 had its first annual youth-in-ministry retreat held in Dallas, TX. The participants spent time reflecting on what they wanted to gain for themselves in order to best serve their ministries. They gained tool and tips to better organize their plans while connecting to a bigger vision of why they do what they do.
SR5 held our first annual YAYAM leadership retreat in Northern California. 50 participants traveled from various states to bring energy and inspiration to our ministries, our communities, and ourselves!
This month our entire YAYAM team traveled around the country joining each sub region for its YAYAM Leadership Retreat! Our 5 awesome Sub Regional YAYAM Coordinators worked together with our Subregional Directors and Secretaries to create an opportunity to connect as a subregion, rejuvenate, share best practices, and make some awesome goals for the second half of the ministry year!
