MLK Americorps MSU, NJ Volunteers

*EEO Americorps -Montclair State University: Join students, alumni, faculty, and local community members in a day of giving back to organizations who give so much to the community each day. Volunteers can sign up for an organization that they wish to serve with and will be provided with any supplies or transportation necessary in order to serve. 
Service events (on and off campus) range from going to a senior citizen center and partaking in activities like playing instruments, painting nails, sharing stories, etc., Going to St. Lucy’s Emergency Shelter and serving lunch opportunities, quilt-making and making sandwiches for a local shelter, making Valentines Day cards for senior citizen center and veterans home, and much more!
Registration will begin from 8am to 9am at the Student Center Ballrooms. At 9am there will be a continental breakfast and the Mayor from East Orange be the guest speaker -sharing about the value of service. From there, people will go to their designated meeting spot for service work and service will end around 1pm. *Note that the main demographic of volunteers here are students. (Must have own transportation to drive to MSU.)
(Can take up to 20~25 volunteers.)
