10th Anniversary of the Cheongshim World Peace Center
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Cheongshim World Peace Center, which was dedicated on March 22, 2012. A pivotal moment, the massive arena designed to hold 25,000 people near the Unification movement's Cheongpyeong Heaven and Earth Training Center opened on the 53rd True Parent's Day. It’s the largest and most sophisticated multipurpose cultural center in South Korea — eight times larger than the Sejong Performing Arts Center and twice as large as the Olympic Gymnastics Hall.
A performance of the “Crown of Glory,” a musical based on the life of True Parents, was the highlight of the dedication ceremony. It was performed by 60 actors, with support of 150 staff and 60 orchestra performers. The script was developed with the help of a research team from the Cheongshim Graduate School of Theology, and a mammoth rotating stage with 3D video supported the production. However, True Father emphasized the importance of the arena as the main venue of the global Marriage Blessing. Two days later, on March 24, 2012, the first international ceremony was held there.
“The language and lifestyle of the people from five oceans and six continents cannot be understood easily, but the international marriage which went over the historical walls became a landing base for God and True Parents on earth,” True Father notably said. “With the precious Blessing, you should become a proud international couple which is qualified to receive God's love as well as His praise.”
