19th Blessing Anniversary: 5th Phase of the 400,000 Couples

Happy 19th anniversary to all the couples celebrating their Marriage Blessing! The 5th Phase of the 400,000 Couples Holy Marriage Blessing Ceremony was held on July 26, 2004, with thousands of couples gathering at an indoor stadium near Sun Moon University in Asan City, a city an hour south of Seoul. 

This 2004 Blessing took on an added significance as it culminated the 10th World Culture and Sports Festival (WCSF). Prominent religious leaders representing various faiths around the world added their blessings to the couples. Some 300 prestigious participants of the Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace (IIFWP) Assembly conference — which represented 120 nations and included several former presidents, prime ministers, and current heads of state — also supported the ceremony and the effort to strengthen families.
