Rally of Hope 3rd Anniversary

August 9 marks the 3rd anniversary of the groundbreaking Rally of Hope series True Mother launched in 2020 during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. It quickly became an unparalleled virtual series — complete with state-of-the-art technology — that brought millions of people from around the world together during a precarious time.
Organized by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), the monthly event ran through January 2022 and featured global leaders including presidents and heads of state, parliamentarians, religious figures, renowned scholars, economists, and experts in health, business, and media all delivering messages of peace and unity for the world. In May 2021, the rally introduced Think Tank 2022 to address issues of global security, development, and peace, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.

During her inaugural address, True Mother highlighted the importance of the institutions of marriage and family. She also shared that our earthly life is preparation for an eternal life in the spiritual world. The way forward, she said, is to understand and live by God’s principles of creation while on earth.

“Human history has been a history of continuous struggle,” she said, “which has caused both the suffering of human beings, as well as the suffering of God, our Creator and Heavenly Parent.” True Mother then called on the audience to be filial children who attend God in their daily lives and work to realize His providence in their homeland and throughout the world.

Alongside key leaders like Cambodia Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen, former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Senegal President Macky Sall, and former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, True Mother’s Rally of Hope series provided critical guidance during a major turning point in world history.
