HJIFEP is seeking a Business Director

Position Summary:
The Hyo Jeong International Foundation for Environmental Peace (HJIFEP) is searching for a Business Director who wishes to greatly contribute toward their mission of finding, promoting, and implementing solutions to environmental challenges. This role will need to understand and make decisions from HJIFEP’s three unique approaches to the environment which are:
Provide character education to improve people’s spiritual values and attitude toward nature, to counteract selfishness, greed, and ignorance of the natural world.
Implement well-rounded scientific solutions derived from both conventional science and new paradigm science.
Uphold the standard of living for the sake of others through the principles of interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universally shared values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analytically researching and implementing strategies for improving E&I's product and increasing E&I's readership and revenue.
Conducting and campaigning environmental service activities in collaboration with other NGOs and philanthropic organizations to work together to preserve the environment.
Educating individuals and groups inside and outside our organization on the fundamental values of nature and HJIFEP’s ideal solutions to solve the environmental crisis.
Introducing and promoting HJIFEP’s activities and fundamental solutions to solving environmental problems to various targets, such as educational institutions.
Role Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
Previous professional experience with fundraising activities and successful advertising sales for other non-profit or for-profit companies.
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and information.
Exhibit strong organizational abilities to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
Display adaptability and a capacity to learn from challenges and mistakes.
Maintain adherence to company standards and consistently align work with management directives.
Job: Full Time, 40+ hours per week
Work Location: 3600 New York Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002
Work Schedule: This role is based in Washington, DC. We strongly prefer candidates who can relocate or commute to the area to facilitate in-office collaboration and learning.
Benefits: Health and dental insurance, paid personal and sick leave. Other benefits are open for discussion.
Salary Level (range): Negotiable based on skill level. Bonus incentives are offered based on exceptional performance. A 30% bonus will be given if the revenue goal is exceeded.

HJIFEP is a charitable, tax-exempt, nonprofit 501(C)3 organization registered in Washington, DC. It is dedicated to finding, promoting, and implementing solutions to environmental challenges. It has reconvened the ICUS conferences that were started by Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon in 1972 but placed on hold in 2000. Since 2017, HJIFEP has held 10 international environmental conferences, including ICUS, ICSG, and ICNPS, that bring together experts from around the world to address environmental threats and solutions. HJIFEP also publishes The Earth & I magazine. HJIFEP plans to produce environmental education materials, run campaigns to raise environmental awareness, develop and suggest policy proposals to national and international agencies, and aid in the industrialization of effective scientific solutions to environmental problems.
