Portland Oregon Leadership Opportunity

March 6, 2025

Do you love God and people, and feel called to grow our movement? The Portland Family Church is in search of new leadership. This is a growth opportunity for someone with energy and enthusiasm.

We are a financially stable, faithful, and motivated community. We need you to help us grow our outreach and expand circles of influence, to welcome new people.

If you are looking for a meaningful life in a beautiful natural environment, Portland could be your opportunity. It is surrounded by rivers, mountains, forests and waterfalls, about an hour from the Pacific Ocean. God has blessed us with dramatic natural beauty. People here are polite and friendly. They enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, snowboarding, skiing, camping, white water rafting, and other outdoor sports. It is a great place to engage with new people and build community activities.

The Portland Family Church has about 40 members, a campus outreach program, and an established ACLC base. With the right vision, these can be developed into a forward looking, socially relevant, growing Church. We can provide you with a salary which includes housing.

We are attending Holy Mother Han as our ecclesiastical leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in outreach programs, and provide spiritual education and activities for new young members.

  • Cooperate with our Board of Elders.

  • Guide our Sunday Service team and provide two sermons a month.

  • Help recruit and build a dynamic music ministry.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will be familiar with Unificationist traditions and practices, while working to exemplify Unificationist values and beliefs in their own personal life.

  • College degree preferred (or the ability to obtain one), or commensurate life experience.

  • A passion for outreach and growing the community.

  • Drivers license, or the ability to obtain one. Portland is a tri-county area with excellent highway mobility and our membership is widespread.

  • We have talented people here who can help you learn additional skills, and support you in attaining additional education.
