Anchorage Holy Community seeks a spiritually grounded, energetic, and creative Lead Pastor to serve a growing and vibrant group of Blessed Families and Second Generation members. This is an ideal opportunity for a first-time or early-career pastoral couple to grow into ministry leadership in a supportive, faith-centered environment. Set against the majestic backdrop of Alaska’s natural beauty, this role offers a unique chance to make a lasting impact on the spiritual lives of young people while building a joyful, family-friendly church culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire the spiritual growth of young adults and Blessed Families through prayer, preaching, and ministry.
Cultivate a welcoming and loving church atmosphere rooted in faith, holiness, and the teachings of True Parents.
Organize regular spiritual and social gatherings, including weekly Game Nights, monthly Potlucks, and seasonal events.
Work collaboratively with local Second Gen couples and community leaders to plan programs and support church governance.
Engage in one-on-one pastoral care and support for young adults navigating faith, family, and life challenges.
Role Duties and Responsibilities:
Work alongside a dedicated team of community elders and supportive church families who are enthusiastic about advancing the growth and development of the church.
Participate in community initiatives such as property development planning and income-generating projects.
Utilize Anchorage Garden’s facility (10,000 sq ft on 10.5 acres) to enhance fellowship, worship, and educational offerings.
Represent the church in outreach efforts, building relationships with local residents, friends of members, and neighboring communities.
Maintain a regular presence in the community and provide continuity of spiritual care and leadership.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
Open to couples who are committed to a life of faith and family values, with or without children, and who bring energy, maturity, and a willingness to grow in ministry.
Strong personal faith and prayer life, with a heart to serve God, True Parents, and community members.
Willingness to grow through mentorship and hands-on experience; prior pastoral experience is not required.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a readiness to initiate programs and community engagement.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
Physically active and open to participating in Alaska’s outdoor lifestyle.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in youth or young adult ministry, mission work, or community leadership.
Creative talents such as music, media, visual arts, or event planning.
Familiarity with Unificationist teachings and church structure.
Experience in property development, nonprofit management, or business planning.
Interest in homeschooling or alternative education approaches for children.
Compensation and Start Date:
Expected Start Date: August 2025
Compensation: $2,000 monthly stipend + Free housing in a large private suite
