The Manhattan Family Church seeks a spiritually grounded, energetic, and visionary Pastor (individual or couple) to serve a vibrant and diverse community of Blessed Families, young adults, and children. This position offers an opportunity to deepen spiritual life, strengthen families, and expand outreach in one of the world’s most dynamic and influential cities. Our community benefits from the support of multi-media professionals and vibrant Kodan and CARP ministries. The Manhattan Family Church conducts Sunday Services, education programs, and community gatherings at two primary locations: 4 W 43rd Street & 147 W 120th Street.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead weekly worship services, prayer, and teaching aligned with the Divine Principle and the vision of True Parents.
Conduct Blessing and Seonghwa ceremonies, as well as other rites of passage.
Provide pastoral care, mentorship, and counseling for individuals, couples, and families.
Foster a welcoming, multi-generational, and family-centered church culture.
Organize spiritual, educational, and community events that inspire growth and unity.
Collaborate with local and regional FFWPU leadership, ministry teams, and volunteers.
Represent the church in outreach efforts, building connections across Manhattan and neighboring boroughs.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
Passion for youth and family ministry and community development.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with Unificationist teachings and the mission of FFWPU.
Experience in pastoral leadership, event organization, or educational ministry preferred.
Multi-media or Music skills are appreciated but not required.
Compensation and Start Date:
Compensation: $3,500 per month + possible private suite housing at 147 W 120th Street (negotiable).
Expected Start Date: To be determined upon job offer acceptance
Weekly schedule: Sunday service + after service activities. Two days off during the week. The schedule will vary depending on responsibilities/commitments (to be discussed).
