53rd Blessing Anniversary of 777 Couples

Happy 53rd anniversary to all the participants of the 777 Couples Holy Marriage Blessing!

On Oct. 21, 1970, True Parents officiated the international Holy Marriage Blessing of 777 couples. The ceremony was held at the Jangchung (Metropolitan) Gymnasium in Seoul before an audience of more than 15,000 people. The total 790 couples, who came from 10 nations—including Korea, Japan, and countries from the West—were part of the first international Marriage Blessing, as well as the last ceremony True Father would conduct “before globalizing my mission,” he said, launching the era of the international Marriage Blessing.

True Father also noted that the 777 couples was the seventh Marriage Blessing following True Parents’ own Holy Wedding, and that this ceremony laid the foundation for the Unification movement to work on the worldwide level. “What belongs to Korea can now belong to the world, and vice-versa,” said True Father. “Centered on this time, the fortune of the world can now enter the fortune of unification.”
