Cheon Shim Won Strengthens Faith and Mission
A 7-day Cheon Shim Won workshop is currently underway in Las Vegas, running from Feb. 5 to Feb. 11. The program, which comes on the heels of the weekend CheonBo Great Works workshop at IPEC, includes lectures about True Parents’ life course, the Divine Principle, as well as the providence in America. The educational and spiritual content has helped many participants feel empowered in the new year.
“Each month [this year] we are going to do this 7-day workshop,” said Rev. Jin Hwa Chung of Cheon Shim Won USA, as he encouraged pastors to invite more members and guests to the revitalizing event during an FFWPU USA leaders’ meeting on Feb. 7.
Rev. Chung announced that the workshop will also be held on the East Coast in August at the Belvedere property in Tarrytown, New York, to better accommodate interest from across the country. He said for participants who are aged 80 and older, the workshop would be available online through Zoom as well.
Cheon Shim Won organizers recently visited the nation’s capital from Feb. 3 to Feb. 6, meeting with more than 50 young Unificationists at the DC Family Church. “It was a quite successful meeting,” said Rev. Chung, who shared more about the importance of Cheon Shim Won activities. “I conveyed True Parents’ work to the youth, and the goal of our life here [on earth].” He also discussed Cheon Shim Won’s ancestor liberation and ancestor blessings.
Participants said they were inspired by Rev. Chung’s testimonies about prayer, True Parents’ mission, and breakthroughs that arose from perseverance and faith. “The main thing I got out of the visit from Rev. Chung was the power of jeongseong,” shared one participant. “We have the power to really move the spirit world ... [and] we need prayer and jeongseong to break through our limited mindset and beliefs ... I felt spiritually clearer [from the lectures].”
Other participants felt encouraged to take ownership of their personal mission in life. “True Father said everyone has a mission from God,” shared another participant. “Each person needs to find a mission that God gave to each of us based on own character [and interests]. I was impressed that God has a blueprint for each of us.”
They continued, “Some young people don't have an idea for a future career, but if our [youth] find their mission centered on God, [then] we can make changes in society and contribute to God's Providence and support True Mother.”
Rev. Chung said the next Cheon Shim Won 7-day workshop in Las Vegas is scheduled for March 5 to 11, after a CheonBo Great Works workshop at IPEC.
