Held on February 21, 1977, the 74 Couples Blessing was the largest Blessing ceremony True Parents officiated held outside of Korea to date.

February 22 marks the anniversary of two major Marriage Blessing ceremonies officiated by True Parents: the 430 Couples Holy Blessing in 1968 and the Cross-Cultural Marriage Blessing in 2007.

Nearly 30 Unificationist leaders kicked off 2023 with a “model church” retreat in Las Vegas. Directors and pastors from across the country gathered at IPEC to exchange ideas and best practices to help grow and further develop their respective communities.

On Feb. 8, 1975 True Parents officiated the 1,800 Couples Blessing of many international couples. True Parents said this international wedding underscored the teaching of the Unification movement that God transcends all national and racial barriers.

A 7-day Cheon Shim Won workshop is currently underway in Las Vegas, running from Feb. 5 to Feb. 11. The program content is focusing True Parents’ life course, the Divine Principle, and the providence in America.

Since 1970, the U.S. has observed Black History Month each February, but its cultural origins date back 108 years — to 1915 — when a man named Carter G. Woodson created an organization dedicated to African-American life and history, and later initiated Black History Week in 1926.

February 1 marks the 49th anniversary since True Father’s historic meeting with U.S. President Richard Nixon in 1974. True Father was concerned that the Watergate crisis was weakening America in the face of communist threats and called upon Americans to “Forgive, Love, and Unite.”

More than a hundred Unificationists recently enjoyed a regional young adult retreat, “Glimpse of a Blessed Life,” the Bay Area. The intention of the retreat was to address what blessed life looks like and the ways in which blessed couples are living a principled life.

The celebration of True Father’s 103rd birthday and True Mother’s 80th birthday on Jan. 27 was live-streamed globally from Korea, and many Unificationists later celebrated on Jan. 29 in communities around the U.S with offering tables, musical entertainment, and heartfelt testimonies.

WCLC leaders gathered at the organization’s first webinar to discuss goals in the new year and are calling for the fulfillment of God’s dream — to usher in the kingdom of heaven on earth with all people united as one family.

A recent national CARP workshop brought new hope for the student organization in the new year. The 7-day “New Hope” workshop, held Jan. 2 through Jan. 8 at the Cheon Shim Won in Las Vegas, drew some 50 participants from across the country.

January 19 marks the 5th anniversary of True Mother’s 2018 visit to Gorée Island, where she tearfully prayed for the island’s ancestors and a new heavenly Africa. The small island nation has a painful history serving as the largest slave-trading center on the African coast for 400 years, from the 15th to 19th century.
